The first of our 2006 crop of Chinese green teas arrived direct from China - Pi Lo Chun. This tea is a fresh
and delicious example of premium quality teas: the aroma is outstanding and the leaves steep a fresh, tasty green
with plenty of depth in character. It's grown in Jiangsu in the mountainous Dongtinghu Region on a peninsula that extends into Tai Lake. That area of Jiangsu is where the very best Pi Lo Chun is produced. This is a great opportunity to try a major green tea at
an affordable cost.
Other famous greens arrived shortly: Tianmu Qingding and organic Tianmu Yunding both from the pristine area of Mount Tianmu's two highest peaks. Warm, moist monsoon climate draws rare animals, birds, and plants. The historic lack of industry in the area and the rich soil creates a superb nursery for the green teas.

Crowning our collection Chinese greens this spring is Huangshan Maofeng Special. This tea is very fresh, noticably sweet and my guess is, a higher grade than we've had before. It is grown under the pure and elevated conditions of Yellow Mountain (Huangshan) in Anhui province.
Remember these teas: Pi Lo Chun, Tianmu QingDing, Tianmu Yunding, and Huangshan Maofeng. Stay tuned for more!
